The following was their first bus conversion that they completed in 2010. They have since completed a new rv bus conversion.

It all began when they purchased a $3,000 school bus in 1995. They intended to convert the school bus into a vehicle that their band and ministry may use for trips. It appears uninteresting, but I had no idea a school bus could look this nice.

This is their project. A 1995 International Flat Nose Genesis School Bus with an Amtran Body. and

They drove 8 hours to pick it up and 8 hours back all in one day. They were all exhausted! They selected to get a bus from the southern states instead of up north. This way, they wouldn’t have an issue with body rust. The bus is almost completely rust-free and in good condition overall.

The first step was to remove the seats, which took  them a lot of time and effort.

It’s equipped with a 6×6 All-Wheel-Drive System that has an International 7.6-liter DT466 Turbo Diesel Engine and a 4-Speed Allison Transmission.

They also took away the plywood and some of the windows on the interior of the bus, replacing them with insulation and walls.

It was time to paint the bus after gutting it.

They had to do a lot of preparations and bodywork before they could paint the bus.

Then, the interior work began.

They even added frames for interior rooms.

Then they also built framing for the dinette, kitchen and cabinets.

They went ahead to add indoor/outdoor carpet to the flooring of the bus.

They did not want the ugly metal being displayed in the front, instead some empty areas were covered up with wood.

They used Stone tile for the countertops.

They even used  brand new, stainless appliances.

The bus was tranformed into a luxury RV, designed and equipped with a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and dining area. It sleeps up to 8 people. The table transforms into a bed for 2 and there is the bunk room that sleeps 4 coupled with the masterbedroom that sleeps 2. They named the bus  “Good News Bus” . Imagine yourself having an awesome trips you could take on this paradise .
